Suzanne VanWagoner, MSW, LCSW, Neurofeedback Provider
I believe that every individual has an innate ability to heal, both physically and emotionally. Every person will respond differently to the stress or trauma they encounter throughout life. My goal as a clinician is to connect with my clients in a thoughtful and compassionate manner, so that change and healing can occur.
"Your life doesn’t get better by chance, it gets better by change."–Jim Rohn.
I’ve worked in the field of mental health for 30 years and as a licensed clinical social worker for over 25. I’ve had the opportunity to work with people of all ages in a wide array of settings including outpatient, in-home, residential, inpatient, and managed care. Both my professional and personal life experience has taught me that no matter how hopeless or broken we may feel, there is always room for growth and change.
“When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this: you haven’t”. –Thomas A. Edison
I am passionate about exploring alternative treatments to heal the mind and body. This is where Neurofeedback shines. Whether on its own, or in addition to counseling or medication, Neurofeedback can be a powerful tool for change. The beauty of this modality is that clients can sit back and relax while the brain learns to correct itself. Neurofeedback has been used to treat countless conditions and many report that it improves their thoughts, restores a sense of control in their lives, and helps them function better in their family and workplace. I am excited to be working with a team of caring professionals that offers Neurofeedback in a safe and comfortable space.
